Friday March 23rd 2001
Carly and Luke meet for the first time.
 
Thursday April 19th 2001.
Carly's birthday.
After weeks of long, daily phone calls and hundreds of text messages, Carly and Luke finally meet up for the second time at Luke's place.
 
Monday July 16th 2001
We found out we were pregnant.
 
Friday August the 3rd 2001.
Today after big pains in the right side of her belly, Carly and her Mum Jan go to the Dubbo Base Hospital to have our first ultra-sound to make sure the pregnancy isn't ectopic.
The scan says the baby isn't ectopic and is 7 weeks, 3 days along.
 
Tuesday September 11th 2001.

Today Poppy is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

 
Tuesday October 9th 2001.
Went for the Morphology scan today. Was 17-18 weeks and the sonographer insisted we were only 15 weeks and we needed to go home and come back in 3 weeks.
 
Wednesday October 31st 2001.
Went back for the morphology scan.
In 21 days our baby had grown 16 days worth.
The doctor at the ante-natal clinic ignored this.
 
Wednesday November 28th 2001.
Today was the first time that Carly felt the baby move for the first definate time.
It was at about 6:45pm.
 
Wednesday January 2nd 2002.
At another ante-natal appointment, Carly's belly isn't big enough so it is finally decided to have another scan to check on the baby's growth.
 
Tuesday January 8th 2002.

Today was the worst day of our whole lives.
After the ultrasound we were sent over to the hospital and told in no uncertain terms our baby was going to die, either during birth or be stilborn.
In the doctors opinion, the baby would die in the womb within weeks, possibly days.
Also, our beloved Poppy died today.

 
Wednesday January 9th 2002.
Went to Westmead today to meet with a doctor who is an expert with placental problems and have many ultrasounds. 
 
Thursday January 10th 2002.
Had CVS today.
Also Carly's brothers Michael and Daniel's 23rd birthday.
Also the funeral for Carly's father was today. It was held in Orange and Carly couldn't attend.
Back to Dubbo in the afternoon.
 
Friday January 25th 2002.
Today was the day that we finally got the results of the CVS back which told us we were having a girl. Carly called Westmead Fetal Welfare Lab and found out at 11:54am
 
Friday February 8th 2002.
Today Luke and Carly finally decide on a name for their unborn daughter.
Lissa Poppy with both of our surnames hyphenated.
Lissa is a Greek word meaning Honey Bee, or is an East African spirit of the sun, or a diminutive of Melissa.
Poppy is after her Great-grandfather Barry, known as Poppy.
 
Friday March 8th 2002
Lissa was born at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, Australia at 11:40am.
 
Friday March 8th 2002
Lissa passed away at 2:53pm.
 
Friday March 15th 2002.
Today we go home to Dubbo.
Also the funeral company drive Lissa back from Sydney and get to Dubbo a little before us.
 
Monday March 18th 2002.
Lissa's lovely funeral was held today at St. Brigids Church in Dubbo.
 
Saturday March 23rd.
The first anniversary of Carly and Luke first meeting.
So much in one year.
 
Friday May 10th 2002.
Carly and Luke get engaged.
 
Tuesday July 16th 2002.
Had a meeting with a brilliant and lovely genetisist in Orange today.
Dr. W said we have nothing to worry about in future pregnancies and we still need to wait for a bit more to try for another baby.
She actually met Lissa at Westmead Childrens hospital during her autopsy.
 
October - November 2002.
Around this time, we are 'allowed' by the doctors to start trying to concieve again.
 
Saturday November 23rd 2002.
Today Carly and Luke get married.
 
June 2003.
After a long 6 months, Carly and Luke's second baby is concieved. 
The baby is nicknamed Poss.
The due date is around Lissa's 2nd birthday.
 
Tuesday August 5th 2003.
Sadly, Poss is lost by a very painful miscarriage at 10 weeks gestation.
 
Saturday & Sunday September 21st & 22nd 2003.
Carly and Luke move from Dubbo, to Wollongong.
